Process
This project was about understanding shadows and color tones in people's faces. After testing different methods of putting black paint onto paper, I eventually chose a Fruit Roll-up wrapper, dipped it in the paint, and dabbed it onto the paper for an interesting dotted look on the paper which left room for negative space to not be overpowered by the paint. I then ripped these paint-filled papers so that I could mimic the correct shadows of the image I was recreating.
